Acoustic panels tend to be surface mounted, and feature an acoustically absorbent core which is sometimes covered with a decorative fabric. They can be manufactured for use on walls only, walls and ceilings, or ceilings only.

Acoustic baffles are suspended from ceilings to control the reverberation of sound. They are particularly suitable where an exposed soffit is required for thermal mass purposes.

Acoustic tiles are used in suspended ceilings, are commonly installed in public and commercial environments such as offices, hospitals, school classrooms and retail premises.
