Shop-fronts provide retailers with the ideal platform for advertising and raising brand awareness, and an application of printed window film is a high impact and cost effective way of maximising such opportunities.

VIVOBAREFOOT is a vibrant and exciting brand, offering the latest technology in training and running shoes. When they wanted to publicise a sale at one of their London stores, they approached The Window Film Company for a solution.

In using state of the art technology including UV printers, The Window Film Company is able to create eye-catching and impressive graphics, recreating designs, logos and text in bright, vivid full colour. To add an extra vibrancy to colour, print can be backed in pure white ink, a process that, once complete, makes the print appear brighter, cleaner and crisper – ideal for when the display is required to attract attention. It was agreed that this process would be employed for the VIVOBAREFOOT artwork.

The next decision was to agree on the type of film to be used. By printing on to optically clear window film, it is possible to perfectly replicate even the most complex of designs. The clear nature of the window film ensures that only the printed elements are visible on the glass, making it the perfect choice for a window display – the message is displayed on the glass whilst still maintaining a view into the store. This was the film used for the VIVOBAREFOOT display.

The artwork was provided by VIVOBAREFOOT and proofs provided by The Window Film Company’s in-house graphics team. With the artwork agreed, the graphics were printed and an installation agreed. The installation was carried out by one of The Window Film Company’s experienced fitting teams, with the film applied to the interior of the glass. The film covered an area measuring almost 2.5m across and over 1.5m high and was fitted to the perfect standards expected by The Window Film Company, as well as quickly to ensure a minimum of disruption to what is a busy London store.

The graphics will remain in place for the duration of the end of season sale, clearly advertising the promotion whilst still allowing customers with a view into the shop – vital for enticing potential purchasers onto the premises.
