Legislation dictates that glass in critical locations must be made visible. This is achieved by applying glass manifestation to the glazing, and The Window Film Company are able to offer a range of bespoke solutions.

Glass manifestation is a safety feature that ensures glass is made apparent. Applied to large panes of glass in critical locations, the manifestation prevents accidents by making sure people realise that the glass is there, a serious potential issue in busy public places with large expanses of glazing.

Hospitals are often large buildings, with walkways and rooms all featuring large windows. This is also true of entrance areas and it was one such area that The Window Film Company was engaged to transform.

Whilst the regulations around the size of manifestation and the locations in which it must appear are clear, there are no restraints on what form the design should take. Manifestation was required on glazing around the entrance of this North London hospital, and the opportunity was seized to select a bright, vivid design, in an attempt to provide an element of cheer to what can be understandably understated facilities.

As well as the manifestation, which was cut from The Window Film Company's range of rainbow film, it was decided to extend the injection of colour to other panes surrounding the entrance. The nature of the rainbow film provides an instant change in appearance whilst not impacting on the view in or out, or cutting down on the light passing through the glazing.

Both the manifestation and the film were installed by one of our professional fitting teams and the installers were able to draw on their skill and experience to ensure the job took place quickly and with the minimum of fuss, whilst still providing a perfect finish.

Once installed, the film provided the area with an instant lift making it a more pleasant environment for those visiting.
