Celcon Coursing Units are produced from the same material, and are suitable for all the same applications, as conventional-sized Celcon blocks, allowing consistency within the building fabric.
They are suitable for use both externally and internally in load-bearing and non-load bearing situations. Note that load-bearing walls should not be constructed from coursing units as the only masonry unit.
Technical data
Coursing units are available in three compressive strengths:
2.9N/mm2 (Standard)
7.3N/mm2 (High Strength)
8.7N/mm2 (Super Strength)
Thermal conductivity is between 0.11 and 0.18W/mK
The units are fire resistant (100mm walls, up to 2 hours if load bearing, up to 4 hours if not Class [O/A1] surface spread of flame), achieving Part E of the Building Regulations, both (PCT and Robust Details).
