Overview

RHEINZINK-prePATINA blue-grey roof and facade cladding has been installed on the Karl-Heinz-Klein sports hall in Heiligenhaus, Germany, which was restored and connected to another sports hall.

Project detail

The design idea was that the building should look like a sculpture inserted into the surrounding buildings, with its slanted gable roof.

The result is a design that understands the façade and roof as a continuous structure that establishes the sculptural character of the building as a single volume.

The solution was to cover the façade with 200m² of RHEINZINK Flat Lock Tiles and the roof utilising a RHEINZINK square tile system, both using the natural prePATINA blue-grey surface.
