Background

Clifftown Shore is a Beyond the Box residential development in Southend-On-Sea in Essex. The development’s stunning location provides the perfect view for residents, offering luxury 1, 2 & 3 bedroom seafront apartments and penthouses directly overlooking the beach and sea!

Designed by LAP Architects, the building takes inspiration from the Art Deco style of the neighbouring buildings.

Work undertaken

Collaborative specification

BA Systems collaborated with the architects (LAP) to discuss the solutions for the balustrade package during the very early stages of the project. Design suggestions were provided and samples were sent to the client.

This early engagement allowed BA Systems to understand their requirements well in advance of the balustrade being required on-site.

BA Systems also contacted the appointed main contractor, Cura Construction to provide budget rates to indicate cost.

Full quotations were then worked on and revised several times before agreeing on a final proposal which incorporated some design changes which were agreed by Cura and LAP to provide the most cost-effective solution.

BA Systems was shortly after appointed as the successful balustrade subcontractor for the scheme.

Contractor Testimonial

Certainly I’d recommend BA to other contractors, the overall experience has been a joy from start to finish. Everything has been installed correctly, first time, so it has just been top service throughout.
