Challenge

After more than a dozen years of intensive use, the flooring of Newcastle Academy’s sports hall was showing its age and was in need of rejuvenation.

Work undertaken

TVS addressed areas of localised damage and sanded the floor to create better layer-bonding – all in preparation for a rapid flooring makeover.

Next TVS installed a new, self-levelling and seamless polyurethane performance wear layer. It was finished with a new sports grade polyurethane topcoat in RAL 7000 ‘Squirrel Grey’ designed to give the sports hall a more updated look.

Then, following discussions with the Academy, priority sports were identified and a customised line marking plan agreed for the compact sports hall.

Finally, brand new, extra-wide cover details were supplied and installed to ensure protection at all points of entry.

Outcome

The total installation took just 5 days and delivered an instant transformation.
