Hoardfast, our modular PVC partitioning solution, which is approved for use by the NHS, has been supplied to several temporary Nightingale field hospitals.

Typically used for fit out and construction projects, over 4000 metres of the versatile product was supplied to the NHS Nightingale North West, located in Manchester’s G-MEX centre

Hoardfast, which has a modular design, is quick to install, something that was imperative to getting the G-MEX transformed quickly. The Hoardfast panels were used to setup individual bed bays in a partition layout which enables ‘passive observation’ of patients.

The Nightingale hospital in Manchester has 650 beds for COVID-19 patients, with capacity for a further 100 beds, should they be required.

John Gates, a partner at Westgate Global, said: “We’re really pleased to be able to say that our Hoardfast product has been chosen to support the setup of NHS Nightingale hospitals, and that we have been able to play our small part in the huge efforts being made by the NHS, Government, British Army and building contractors”.

Over 4000 Hoardfast PVC and Hoardfast Firescreen panels, 24 double and 7 single doors are also in place at NHS Louisa Jordan (SEC, Glasgow) forming temporary rooms including donning and doffing rooms, a clean utility, linen bay and storage areas.

Hoardfast has also aided the rapid mobilisation of Bangor’s temporary field hospital, inside a sports centre.
