Project

Linnanfältti is a modern wooden residential area in the centre of Turku, close to the Turku Castle and the Port of Turku. The area is one of the largest wooden apartment building construction projects in Finland. Some 1,500 people will have homes there.

The project in the Linnanfältti area is a partnership between Metsä Wood, VVR Wood, NCC and Kruunuasunnot. Altogether four apartment buildings are built.

Various Kerto LVL wood elements are being used to improve construction efficiency.

Kerto LVL

Kerto LVL is produced from 3 mm thick, rotary-peeled softwood veneers that are glued together to form a continuous billet. The billet is cut to length and sawn into LVL beams, planks or panels in according to customer´s requirements. See a video how Kerto LVL is produced.

Kerto LVL products are CE marked and certified by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, no 184/03.

Kerto LVL S-beam - Excellent for long span roof and floor beams
Kerto LVL Q-panel - Optimal for demanding panel structures
Kerto LVL T-stud - Ideal for use as a stud in load-bearing and non load-bearing walls
