The £4 million purpose-built Havelock Day Centre is a Centre for Independent Living (CIL), operated by Hartlepool Borough Council. It hosts a number of disability-related organisations, each providing their unique range of services.
Miko worked with the Centre to create an 8m2 diamond-shaped entrance canopy.
As well as being in keeping with the style of the building, the canopy also provides shelter for the minibuses that transport users to the centre.
The project was undertaken for Gus Robinson Construction.
The canopy has provided Havelock with the perfect combination of a functional and modern main entrance feature.
