TVS group supplied a new gym floor for the University of Kent Sports centre. The old concrete sub-base needed replacing and the other surface flooring materials were worn down.
TVS strengthened the sub base in the free weights area and raised it to the required height. Heavy duty SPORTEC rubber tiles, 40mm thick, were installed on top to create a safe, stable training area. The tiles can withstand the high dynamic loads from dropped heavy weights.
A shock absorbing, dual-layered flooring system was installed with a custom-produced EPDM sprint track made from recycled rubber.
"The floor looks great, it's fantastic quality and has transformed out gym space overnight. The TVS team did a thoroughly professional job and were really flexible to meet our needs. As a result, we were well ahead of the schedule and our customers are now enjoying the new look gym."
