As part of the refurbishment of 1 Puddle Dock in Blackfriars, London, Bolton Gate was specified to provide a hybrid grille / shutter for the loading bay of this 1970's building.

In addition to providing vehicular entry / egress with the requisite ventilation for such an application, matching side panels were required with integral hinged doors to allow personnel access and provide emergency exits.

A special bottom rail was designed to cope with the sloping floor level, and intermediate posts were designed and installed to support the side guides and panels.

The grille / shutter operates via a keypad outside, loop detectors inside and photocells / safety edge were provided to meet health and safety requirements.

The whole assembly was powder-coated brown in keeping with the surrounding structure.
