Challenge

Westgate Global was called in by NFT Distribution to create a partition in a new-build chilled warehouse at Tilbury Docks as they required part of the existing warehouse to operate at a colder temperature for a new contract. The temperature of the primary area of the warehouse was 2°C; they needed to create another area within the warehouse with a deep chill temperature of -2°C.

The partition needed to be in place within two weeks to meet production demands.

Solution

After a short consultation and design period, Westgate began installation of a 21m high x 90m wide Flexiwall partition. The Flexiwall was designed so that it can be extended and added to at a later date if required.

The lower section of the partition was created with the intention of giving a corporate look, similar to the corporate colours of NFT Distribution, with the use of red fabric.

A Flexistrip PVC strip door was also installed, providing easy and hassle-free access for forklifts.

Result

The primary benefit to the client since the new partition was installed has been the ability to control the temperature as required and being able to fulfil the requirements of the new contract.

Although the flexibility, quick, non-disruptive installation and cost effectiveness of the products were highly advantageous, the speed at which Westgate Global was able to turn the project around was a key factor in NFT working with Westgate Global.
