Enviromat Flat Green Roof Kit is designed to convert flat roofs on residential housing and utility buildings into attractive green sedum roofs. The system comprises a polythene root barrier, drainage matting and sedum matting.

Enviromat sedum matting provides instant effect, typically flowering for 6 months from May to October. The mats are planted with seven species of low growing sedum, providing an attractive display of foliage and texture throughout the year. The mats contain all the nutrients required, eliminating the need for additional growing media.

Flat roof requirements

  • Roof pitch not greater than 3°

  • Waterproofing system in good condition

  • Roof edging system to contain the sedum matting

  • Minimum 60kg per square metre load bearing capacity for the green roof system

  • Additional load allowance for snow and/or pedestrian loading as required
