Sheffield Botanical Gardens, covering 19 acres, first opened in 1836 and were originally designed by Robert Marnock in the Gardenesque style. They were fully restored, using the Heritage patent glazing system, at a cost of approximately £6.69 million and are the only Botanical Gardens in the country to have undertaken such a complete restoration.
