ACO Bat Box provides a sheltered roost for bats. It is half a brick course in width and three standard brick courses high, making it easy to build into a wall during construction. Alternatively, it can be retrospectively built in by cutting out a suitable area.
The box has a protruding top lip that acts as a weathershield, preventing rain from entering the box. The interior of the box is grit-blasted to give bats a gripping surface. A wooden insert fitted to the inside back face provides an additional gripping surface.
The front panel is removable for inspection and cleaning by a licensed professional when it is clear that the box is not being used.
The ACO Bat Box is recommended for use in residential and commercial developments, schools, nature reserves, and parks.
