Skonto Plan Ltd was founded in 1992 as the first company in Latvia which manufactures glazed aluminium products. Today Skonto Plan Ltd has become one of the leading companies in the construction industry in Latvia. The company was expanding gradually; in 1994 the manufacturing of PVCU windows and doors was started which led to the production of double-glazed units in 1995 and a structural steel factory was opened in 1998. With over 17 years of experience, today the company pride themselves on providing excellent service completing projects of varying complexity.

In 2002, Skonto Plan Ltd has implemented a strict quality management system according to the standards of the ISO 9001:2008. The company also takes great care to ensure appropriate work environment for their employees and continuously encourage their cooperation and efforts to improve their professional qualifications. Highest quality production depends on highly qualified and motivated employees, who are able to find appropriate solutions even for the most challenging constructions and to satisfy each customer request. Since the very beginning Skonto Plan Ltd is also a member of Association of Latvian Window and Door Manufacturers.

In 2011 the company have certified the Environment management system according to international standard ISO 14001:2004 and the Occupational Health and work safety system in accordance with standard OHSAS 18001:2007.

During the time Skonto Plan Ltd have been operating, the company was exporting its products to Eastern and Western European countries, as well as to Scandinavia.
