Cityzen

Cityzen is a multidisciplinary design practice based in East Sussex, whose staff are practitioners of Architectural Technology and Environmental Engineering.

The practice  is a CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers) accredited Low Carbon Consultant as well as a member of CIAT (Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists).

Cityzen's mission is to provide sustainable buildings that provide users with the space and light they need in an energy efficient package.

In its design work it prefer to follow the energy hierarchy. To ‘Be lean' by designing spaces that require less energy, ‘Be clean' by supplying energy efficiently and ‘Be green' by using renewable energy systems.

The company aims to ensure that materials used on site are suitably sourced, waste appropriately reduced, reused and recycled, and the most efficient technology and materials are used where possible.
