Manufacture
Curtains are made from continuously interlocked galvanised steel laths held in place by end locks. A range of thicknesses and profiles are available to suit individual project requirements such as size and wind loading.
Bottom rails are galvanised and roll-formed into a tee section.
Vertical guides are also formed from rolled steel, or can be fabricated depending on size and wind loading. They are supplied with suitable angles for fixing to the structure.
Operation
Small roller shutters are available with a number of operation arrangements, normally with a 240 volt single-phase tubular motor.
Large roller shutters are operated by a 400 volt three-phase geared motor mounted on one of the endplates.
Adjustable limit switches are incorporated to ensure the shutter stops at the end of each travel.
Geared motors have open / close / stop control buttons as standard and single-phase tubular motors have rocker switches.
