HPN2 - recessed heavy-duty stair nosing for concrete steps

HPN2 anti-slip recessed stair nosings are designed to be fitted into precast concrete steps for areas with a high level of usage. They incorporate low slip potential treads to ensure safe movement of people on concrete stairways.

Typical applications include public and commercial buildings, stadia and transport termini. The tread is fitted with an anti-slip silicon carbide insert to maximise product life. It can be used in low-light situations when fitted with a photoluminescent tread.

Slip resistance

Treads tested independently using the pendulum test (BS 7976-D2 Test Certificate) adhering to UKSRG, HSE and CIRIA guidelines on pedestrian slip risk assessment resulting in a PTV 74+ in dry and wet conditions. This test confirms that all the tread exceeds the minimum requirement as per BS 8300:2009 and HSE Publications.
