Ketley's planter bricks are the first clay planters to be made as an engineering brick. They have been developed specifically in response to the need to demonstrate a Net Biodiversity Gain with new planning applications and greater biodiversity and planting in urban areas where space and options are often restricted.

At 215mm wide, the planter bricks fit perfectly on to the tops of walls. They can be made in a variety of different profiles including cants, bullnose and double bullnose depending on the design requirements (click here for technical drawings). They feature a small weep hole along the bottom edge to allow for drainage and are an attractive and practical solution to urban gardens.

The returns (end units) are handmade, but the middle sections are extruded by machine creating an efficient way to add greenery to urban spaces. To save cost but maintain the profile, a regular brick special can also be used as a return.
