Milton Park is a thriving centre for science and technology in Oxfordshire. The latest building development within the park has been specifically designed to provide high-tech laboratory facilities and office space.

Lang+Fulton were involved in the supply of a variety of different components for for the external escape stairs: balustrade infill using Terra-34 anti-climb grating, open mesh flooring and stair treads made from EF-15x76 heel-proof grating, and Italia-80 louvred screening.

There were five stairs towers in total, 10.7m and 15m high.

The stair towers were also designed to incorporate ducting and access to service facilities. The Italia-80 louvred panels provide effective screening and secure housing for these services and were supplied with demountable panels with D-handles for inspection points at each landing and at ground level. The result was a smart solution in keeping with the quality and high specification of the development.

The balustrading, stair treads and flooring were hot-dip galvanized; the louvres were supplied with an additional polyester powder coating RAL7016.
