Marshalls concrete facing bricks are produced in a wide range of colour tones and finishes for use in traditional and contemporary building projects.

Differing from clay bricks, concrete bricks continue to gain strength with age and have a higher sound reduction index.

Marshalls concrete bricks are produced to finer tolerances than clay bricks, providing more accuracy in block sizes. They are produced and certified to D1 category (+3-5mm in all dimensions).

Materials

Marshalls bricks have minimal soluble salts content, and the admixtures used both within the mix and on the surface of certain facing bricks ensure that bricks have minimal efflorescence. By contrast clay bricks may contain metallic salts such as sodium, potassium and magnesium, and consequently are categorised as either SO, S1 or S2. These define the maximum level of soluble salts.

Manufacture

Marshalls bricks are manufactured by compacting under a combination of high pressure and vibration a semi-dry mix of naturally occurring aggregates, Portland cements, various admixtures, and synthetic iron oxide pigments.

Colours

Marshalls facing bricks are supplied in a spectrum of shades. All bricks are through-coloured, meaning any small chips or damage will show the same colour underneath as the main face of the brick.
