- TVS RESi dry floating floor system
When David Lloyd Clubs built its first stand-alone boutique training studio in the heart of Birmingham, it turned to TVS Group to ensure the acoustic performance matched the centre’s high intensity approach to training.
Challenge
BLAZE Studio marked a significant first for David Lloyd Clubs. It was its first stand-alone HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Centre to be created outside its 64-strong network of UK and European clubs.
Its creation in the heart of Birminghams's business district, and its planned dynamic and fast-paced HIIT sessions involving cardio, strength and combat sessions synced to high energy music, presented potential acoustic issues. Acoustic engineering consultants Cundall, and main contractor DDI Projects, called on the specialist skills of TVS Acoustics to address the key areas of concern.
Solution
TVS installed its well-proven TVS RESi dry floating floor system throughout the project area and even isolated individual boxing bags using specially designed isolation pads.
It also decoupled the walls of the gym to prevent any noise transfer to adjoining properties.
The measures ensured that the project met the extremely high standards of acoustic performance initially specified by Cundall and delighted client David Lloyd Clubs.
