Requirement
Exwold Technology Ltd is a chemical processing company founded in 1993, with five sites across the North East of England. A solution was required for a new production area to ensure different chemicals are kept safely separated and the risk of contamination reduced.
Solution
Westgate Global’s Flexiwall was the ideal solution providing a physical barrier to prevent cross contamination. It is also far quicker and cleaner to install than a traditional partition, meaning less downtime.
Westgate Global designed and installed a 2-sided enclosure, 17.8 x 8.5 x 8.7m high, creating a clean room, complete with Flexistrip and steel pedestrian doors. The mezzanine floor was also enclosed and divided in to two rooms, 19 x 8.5 x 5m high, and a 3-sided airlock at 6.5 x 5.2 x 7.5m high was also installed. The Flexiwalls were hung from existing steelwork and manufactured to fit the curved roof of the building.
Result
Exwold Technology can rest assured that it has a suitable partition in place to prevent cross contamination, with the option to adapt it if required at a future date.
Testimonial
"We approached Westgate Global for a solution to our plant segregation project. The whole process was efficient and friendly, from the initial contact via the sales dept. to the installation team who delivered the project on time and in full. A full site survey was completed in a timely manner and technical drawings were presented for sign off before any work was undertaken. I would highly recommend Westgate Global to provide a cost effective solution for plant partitioning.”
About Flexiwall
Flexiwall panels easily install around ducts and pipework and are assembled on-site using our unique v-overlap system. The partition is suspended to the existing structure or additional fabricated steelwork, and tensioned to the floor, for a dust-tight seal. It is also space-saving, only taking up millimetres of floor space once installed.
Flexiwall is completely adaptable to future business needs – it can be removed, reconfigured and relocated with ease. Yet its robust nature should not be overlooked, many Flexiwalls have stood the test of time and are still standing strong over 20 years later.
