Bondi Beach, one of Australia’s most famous beaches, was entered on the Australian National Heritage List as a national monument in 2008. Solidly built blocks of flats sprang up around there in the 1930s. One of these buildings received an extra floor as part of a restoration. This addition was clad with RHEINZINK titanium zinc. RHEINZINK supplied the Double Standing Seam and Angled Standing Seam System for the roof and facade of a residential building in Bondi North, Australia.

The material resists the extremely high stress while creating a powerful contrast to the surrounding structures at the same time. With its room-high glass sliding doors, the space offers an impressive view of the beach and the city of Sydney behind it, with the Tasmanian Sea in the far distance.
