Solid top gratings and inherently strong structurally cored panels are designed for a variety of industrial and domestic applications, including pedestrian gangways, access walkways, disabled access ramps, manhole covers and pipe and cable service duct covers.

The glass fibre structural mesh core of the panel is reinforced with a moulded glass fibre plate that is applied to one or both of the bearing surfaces. The one-piece moulded panel is rigid, strong, light-weight, non-corrosive, non-conductive and has an anti-slip surface finish.

Unlike conventional concrete covers, the panels can be manufactured to suit 1 or 2 man handling limits.

Solid top gratings and structurally cored panels have a smooth surface that allows smoother movement of wheeled traffic and prevents objects falling to lower levels. When used as a cover or lid they also provide odour control.

Structurally cored panels are typically used for more demanding applications. They are corrosion resistant and can be manufactured to suit the requirements of BS EN 124 for use as duct covers in areas subject to vehicular traffic.
