Westerland fibre cement slates are very similar in appearance to natural slate. They have an attractive riven surface and natural dressed edges, which makes them ideal for applications where a traditional appearance is important.

Manufactured to the highest European standards, Westerland slates are lightweight, pre-holed, easy to handle and install, durable and an economic alternative to natural roofing materials.

Westerland slates are manufactured using Portland cement in combination with a non-asbestos formulation of superior blended synthetic and cellulose fibres. They are pigmented and fully compressed during production.

They are finished with a high quality, semi-matt acrylic coloured coating to the top face and edges and a tinted, high performance binder to the back face.

  • Good match for Ffestiniog or other blue/grey British natural slate.
  • Consistent high quality and high strength.
  • Approved for use in the Snowdonia National Park.
