Newton 603 high grade flooring membranes are suitable for use above new and existing floors. They incorporate 3mm studs to enable pressure equalisation of any dampness in the floor below, allowing for dissipation at the rooms perimeter and subsequent drying of the floor.
They are highly resistant to water, alkalis, saline solutions and organic acids, as well as bacteria, fungi and other small organisms. They are not effected by minerals.
Newton 603 membranes uncouple the floor finish from the substrate so that movement is not transferred to the floor finish above. This makes them suitable for non-bonded flooring finishes such as laminate flooring, timber flooring and particle and ply floor boards. They also bridge small cracks to allow quick installation times above less than ideal substrates.
Newton 603 membranes are guaranteed against deterioration for 30 years and have a life expectancy of at least 50 years (DIN 9001:2000). They membranes are inert and have high compressive loading stability.
They must be used with Newton Waterseal Rope A6 to seal around protrusions through the membrane, and Newton Overtape A8 for membrane jointing.
For applications that require the membrane to be bonded to the substrate or floor finish, such as paving slabs, John Newton offers Newton 603 Mesh.
