Howe Green Visedge floor access covers
Flexible floor access covers have removed the hassle involved in maintaining building services located under the flooring at a hospital in East Anglia.
Maintenance of essential building services had become problematic as the original floor access covers, fitted over four decades ago, had broken. The covers could no longer be removed, making access for planned and emergency maintenance virtually impossible.
Howe Green Visedge flexible floor covers were installed to provide safe and easy access to underfloor building services in corridors throughout the busy hospital.
Due to their location in busy corridors, the Videsge access covers needed to fit perfectly flush with their surround to avoid distortion and prevent any slips or trips and were infilled with vinyl flooring. The covers can be removed for maintenance purposes with the use of lifting keys, safely and easily, with the minimum of disruption to the day-to-day operation of the hospital.
Available as a single cover, a duct run, or as a multipart unit, the Visedge Series can be supplied in standard sizes from stock. Bespoke size covers can be manufactured to order.
The Howe Green range of access covers has been tried and tested in healthcare settings around the world for over three decades. They can be found in Southmead Hospital in Bristol, Queen’s Hospital in Romford, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Chase Farm in Enfield, the New Karolinska Solna University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden and the Lennox Addington Hospital in Ontario, Canada.
