The Central Birmingham Symphony Orchestra needed to replace their existing staging system, which had reached the end of its life.
The organisation required a stage that could be used in many different formats as well as being height adjustable.
They selected the Alu-Combi staging system from CPS' range.
The Alu Combi is a height adjustable, modular system designed to take a load of 765kg per square metre. The CBSO selected a waterproof, anti-slip surface on their staging system, and a total number of 60 platforms were purchased of which some were to be used for the orchestra and some to be used for tiered seating for the audience.
The stage was also equipped with heavy-duty handrails to provide more safety for the performers while on stage.
A full storage system was also supplied, which included 8 trolleys. Once the stage is demounted, each trolley holds 16 square metres of staging within a 2 square metre area.
