Rheinzink was founded by the Grillo Stolberger Zinc companies together with Vereinigte Deutsche Metallwerke in 1966. Today it belongs to the Grillo group of companies and has a workforce of over 800 people. Rheinzink has an international presence, boasting subsidiaries and sales branches in 30 different countries on five continents.
For over 40 years the Rheinzink Group has produced top-quality titanium zinc at its Datteln site. Rheinzink has now refined and expanded its product line to encompass four distinct finishes:
PATINA Line – Living material
The original Rheinzink. Available in a natural sheet metal Rheinzink -prePatina bright rolled finish, or in the pre-weathered surfaces Rheinzink-prePatina blue-grey and Rheinzink-prePatina graphite-grey.
PROTECT Line – Pure and durable
Rheinzink PROTECT should be the first choice when it comes to challenging or unusual climatic conditions, such as the tropics, or for specific applications such as soffit cladding. Rheinzink PROTECT is available in blue-grey and graphite-grey shades.
COLOR Line – Unlimited design possibilities
An unlimited variety of colours using Rheinzink titanium zinc. Available in a choice of five standard colours, or in bespoke colours on request. The colour remains true over time, protected by a PVDF coating, whilst maintaining all the positive properties of the original material.
INTERIEUR Line – Highlights room accents
The aesthetics of the interior of a building can now be enhanced by the use of Rheinzink. The pre-weathered surface of Rheinzink INTERIEUR in blue-grey and graphite-grey combine the opportunity for unique accenting with durability.
The applications for Rheinzink titanium zinc include roofing, roof dormers, facade cladding and roof drainage systems. Titanium zinc from Rheinzink is very popular as a modern material that offers wide scope for design.
Many internationally renowned architects, such as Daniel Libeskind, Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid, have made good use of this material and its many benefits. Thanks to its durability and high recycling rate, Rheinzink is also the preferred choice of material for classical roof drainage systems using gutters and pipes.
Rheinzink is an alloy of electrolytically refined zinc with a 99.995% degree of purity, with accurately defined parts of copper and titanium. In a single continuous operation the raw material is melted, cast and wound onto a steel coil.
Environmental protection has long been part of Rheinzink's philosophy. In order to inform the consumer as comprehensively and objectively as possible about the properties of materials, RHEINZINK subjects its products to voluntary inspections and to continuous independent testing.
RHEINZINKis an environmentally compatible building product, which has passed a comprehensive lifecycle assessment, according to ISO 14040 by the German Institute of Forests and Environment.
